What this site is
Everyday Device Security publishes explanatory writing about malware, online scams and the software people use to defend against them. It exists to make a confusing subject legible, and it is written for people who are not specialists.
Who publishes it
The domain is operated by REGIOSUS, S.L., de Palma, CP 07002, Spain, registration number B13828900.
How it is funded
At present this site carries no advertising, no sponsored content and no affiliate links, and it does not sell anything. If that changes, commercial links will be labelled as such where they appear and this page will say so plainly. We would rather state the position clearly than leave you guessing.
How the writing is done
- No statistics, percentages or infection counts are quoted, because we do not run the research that would produce them.
- No product is tested, scored or ranked here. Where software is named, it is to state a checkable fact - for example, that Windows ships with Microsoft Defender.
- No articles carry an author byline, because there is no newsroom behind them and inventing one would be dishonest.
- Pages carry a "last reviewed" date rather than a publication history.
